Program Topics: Topics covered in the curriculum include general advice and information
that many consumers are seeking with respect to banking and financial
matters, including: what a
bank is and how to use one, checking and savings accounts, ATM and debit
cards, how to budget, save and invest, the different types of credit, how
to obtain credit, what a credit report is, how to maintain good credit,
how to manage debt, and the steps involved in applying for a mortgage.

| Program Description:
The Chase
Financial Education Curriculum
has been used by bank staff as well as by not-for-profit
organizations, community groups, and individuals to
deliver financial education workshops in various local
communities throughout the bank's footprint and beyond. The
online Financial Education Library complements the Chase
Financial Education Curriculum that Chase introduced in 2003 and
houses the entire workbook curriculum in both Spanish and
English. The
workbooks can be accessed, downloaded and printed directly from
the Chase.com website. Also
available upon request are corresponding Instructor workbooks
with detailed speaker notes and a Chase Financial Education
Toolkit, which provides additional resources to assist
facilitators in planning and conducting financial education
workshops.

Basic Banking Principles: intended for audiences who currently do not have accounts with
financial institutions or who need basic information about banking and how
to use accounts.
Credit and Debt Management: covers the basics of applying for credit, how to establish good
credit, what a credit report is, how to use credit wisely and how to keep
debt under control.
Personal Financial Management: covers the basics of setting financial goals, developing a budget,
following a savings plan, and exploring different investment options.
Understanding the Mortgage Process: intended for audiences who are thinking of buying a home for the
first time or need a better understanding of the home buying process.
